Humour For Health Study at Northern Hospital

In 2004 the Northern Hospital in Victoria conducted a study on Clown Doctors in the Emergency Department and the Children and Adolescent Health Unit. Clown Doctor interactions were observed to evaluate their effectiveness. In 82% of observed interactions, children were laughing. The experience for all patients ranged from excellent (82%) to good. There were no observed adverse reactions.
