The Humour Foundation
REGIONAL TOUR BY CLOWN DOCTORS TO THANK CBA STAFF

Staff at Commonwealth Banks around Australia once again held fundraising activities for The Humour Foundation’s Smile Day. The 10 branches that raised the most money were rewarded by a welcome visit from the Clown Doctors. The Commonwealth Bank funded the regional tour.

Broadbeach, Rockhampton North and Kingaroy in Queensland; Narrandera, Mittagong, Cronulla, Tamworth and Moree in New South Wales; Mount Gambier in South Australia; and Red Cliffs in Victoria each received a visit by two Clown Doctors. Customers in Rockhampton North were three deep as the Clown Doctors had been promoted on local radio; at one branch a group of 20 children were waiting to be entertained; and another held a barbeque to welcome the Clown Doctors. All the staff loved the visits which were well publicised. As well as going to the Commonwealth Bank branch, the Clown Doctors visited the nearest local hospital for a “Clown Round” providing much needed laughter and fun for patients, staff and families, most of whom had never experienced the joy and magic that Clown Doctors bring.

The Commonwealth Bank Staff Community Fund has supported the Clown Doctor programs for nine years.
