HOBART, BURNIE & LAUNCESTON CLOWN DOCTOR UNIT

Since 2004, Clown Doctors have been dispensing doses of fun and laughter to patients at Royal Hobart Hospital two days a week. They visit other Tasmanian hospitals as part of the Outreach program.

Dr Fix-It
Dr Fix-it wears detachable tools on bright yellow worker’s hat and
possibly the hugest yellow boots in the Southern Hemisphere. From modest beginnings, Dr Fixit has become known as a miracle worker, never tiring in his quest to rid the world of “sprained curtain”, “squeaky bedpost”, and “wiggly nurse” syndrome.

Dr Fuss-Pot
Dr. Beverly Fuss Pot  loves to primp and preen and prepare before any silly surgical procedures, especially red nose transplants and funny bone checks. She sings ridiculous songs with her uke and loves her disappearing scarf trick, which doesn’t actually disappear and if things don’t go her way…look out! She is terrific at tantrums!

Dr Do-Little
Dr Do Little, by name and nature. is the doctor you’d always like to have – hangdog and the butt of jokes, but well-meaning and harmless. He loves to dance, likes to talk to animals and secretly desires to be one at times. A lovable chap.  He also wears cool pointy-toed maroon shoes.

Dr Dot
Dr Dot thinks she is well-rounded, but she is really quite dotty.  She loves dotting everything in sight.  She gets confused easily and often thinks she is bigger or smaller that what she really is.  She sings, dances and can be a little naughty!
She specialises in measles, chicken pox, and pimples and she has lovely freckles!
