Annual Clown Doctor Conference

This year’s Clown Doctor conference focused on self-care. Clown Doctors work with situations that can be very sad or traumatic and this takes an emotional toll.

Counsellor, inspirational speaker and author Petrea King was the keynote presenter, providing strategies for Clown Doctors to better care for themselves.

Robyn Donellan, Infection Surveillance Office from Sydney Children’s Hospital presented information on infection control and Peter Kingston from NIDA helped Clown Doctors with presentation skills.  Other sessions included professional boundaries, the latest research on  the health benefits of laughter and of course lots of ukelele practice!
