LAUGH OUT LOUD! Dinner in Sydney
Long term hospital patient Grace Cooper had the audience spell bound as she spoke at the Laugh Out Loud! Dinner held at Dockside in Sydney. Guy Sebastian joined her on stage to sing ‘Climb every Mountain.’ Everyone was on the dance floor while John Paul Young sang ‘Love is in the Air.’ Among the 460 guests at the fun evening were Jack Thompson, Bob Hawke, Sydney Swans players, Antonia Kidman, Toni Pearon, and Jaynie Seale. Around $150000 was raised.

BEDLAM IN THE MALL in Perth
‘Bedlam in the Mall’ saw Clown Doctors and supporters raising funds in Perth’s Murray St Mall. Entertainment on the stage included Circus Ringbarkus. Clown Doctors decorated a bed with a well-bandaged ‘patient.’ A stall sold Clown Doctor merchandise.

SEA OF SMILES in Brisbane
Heavy rain for Sea of Smiles on the front lawn of Royal Children’s Hospital pushed everyone under the awning, but didn’t dampen anyone’s spirits. Volunteers cooked the BBQ, merchandise was on sale, and Clown Doctors and friends entertained patients, staff and families. The rain stopped long enough for a Sea of Smiles photo.
Supporters bought a smile which entitled them to a BBQ lunch, a Schweppes drink, and Cadbury’s dessert at Sea of Smiles in Brisbane.

AUSTRALIA'S BIGGEST SMILE in Melbourne
Fans created Australia’s biggest Smile at the Western Bulldags v Richmond AFL game at Melbourne’s Telstra Dome. Richmond club supported the project and volunteers handed out interactive Smile cards. Fans could make their own smiles and text a donation. Clown Doctors selected random smilers to be featured on the big screen and win a Cadbury chocolate hamper.

FUN-Raising Many businesses, schools and workplaces supported Smile Day with FUN-raising activities. Commonwealth Bank staff raised $55 000!
