Can I take My Panda Daddy?
By Greg Cooks

‘Can I take My Panda Daddy?’ tells the story of a family’s journey as their lives are changed forever when 4 year old Sean is diagnosed with a brain tumour.

Told through a father’s eyes, it is a story of bravery and grief.

“It can be very helpful for those who have lost a child (or any loved one) to read, If only to realise that all behaviours, emotions and thoughts are not unique,” said Greg Crook,  ‘Can I take my Panda Daddy?’  allows those who have suffered to know they are not alone, to open up again. It also allows the uninitiated or workers in the caring professions for example, to take our ´journey´ and, by so doing, to gain understanding.”

“A smile, a grin, a giggle or a laugh from a sick child is all it takes to light up a room and to lift despondency. Sean´s smile helped Jane and I cope at the time. His grin taught us to smile again. And it was all down to the Clown Doctors,” Greg continued.
